Soft washing is the recommended cleaning method for vinyl, wood, cedar, stucco, EIFS, and painted surfaces of all types. A-1 reserves high-pressure washing for hard surfaces like concrete, brick, and pavers.
Most soft-washed homes in Bergen County stay clean for one to two years before retreatment is needed. Because the cleaning solution kills organic growth at the root, mold, mildew, and algae take significantly longer to return compared to a high-pressure wash.
A-1 takes precautions on every job — pre-wetting plants before we start and rinsing them thoroughly after. The biodegradable solution breaks down quickly and does not persist in soil. Landscaping damage from a properly executed soft wash is extremely rare.
